OSRS Items at 5-Day Highs

A live breakout scanner: items whose current Grand Exchange price is testing or breaching its true 5-day high — a genuine multi-day peak, not just today's intraday wobble.

Why 5-day, not 24-hour

A 24-hour high is noisy — it resets every day regardless of the bigger picture, so an item can flash a "high" purely because yesterday happened to dip. PocketGE builds each item's 5-day high from rolling 1-hour volume-weighted candles across the last five days, then only flags it when the live competitive price is within 0.5% of, or above, that actual band — with a minimum 3% 5-day range required so a flat item can't false-positive on rounding noise.

A 5-day high isn't automatically a sell signal — for a held stack, it can be exactly the exit you've been waiting for; for a fresh buy, it's often the level to wait out for a pullback rather than chase. Favoriting an item and letting PocketGE's breakout alerts do the watching beats refreshing the page.

How the scan stays fast

Checking every tradeable item's real 5-day range against a raw hourly history would mean thousands of API calls. PocketGE bounds the scan to a ranked candidate pool — the highest-volume and highest-price items — so the breakout list stays current without flooding the OSRS Wiki price API.
